摘要: This multimodal imaging study revealed that the crosslinking level of gelatin-based biomaterials determines the degradation time of the material. This allows for targeted modification of the material according to the respective tissue that needs to be replaced. Furthermore, except for minor pro-inflammatory reactions at the incision site, no adverse tissue response could be observed during and after the degradation which is consistent with good biocompatibility of these novel materials.
