摘要： China produces nearly seven hundred million tons of straw a year, about one third of them are directlyburned after harvest in the farmland. This causes serious problems on environmental pollution and resource squander.In addition, Chinese farmlands are distributed; gathering of these resources is a waste of time and money. Thus, tosolve these problems, small-scale, distributed applications are preferred.Gasification is an important utilization technology of biomass energy. Biomass gasification system for powergeneration is an effective method. Therefore, we developed a demonstration system of a 60kwe biomass gasifierconnected with an internal combustion engine electricity generator. This gasifier has a wide-ranging adaptability offeed stocks; even simply cutted rice straw can be used without shaping into pellets. The innovative design,construction, and operation are presented detail in this paper. The influence of material quantity, equivalent ratio ongas yield rate, carbon conversion rate and gasification efficiency are detected. The product gas composition and itsLHV are analyzed simultaneously.
